Sunday (May 22), I directed / switched a mobile of Table Tennis at Evan Hardy High School in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada for SaskTel Max Local on Demand Channel 48. We've never covered table tennis before which is amazing because Max has covered what feels like almost every sport.
We had a few issues before the men's championship game, where my monitor got shut off. We had to restart to get it back which delayed us about 3-4 minutes.The table tennis people actually waited for us to give them the ok, which is so uncommon. Usually if we miss it we miss it but they were very accomodating, they even let us position the table further back for our wide shot.
The control room was tucked away in a gym storage room.
It switched very nice.
Dion (our tech genius) had the program recording on 3 devices. A laptop (as you see him hit record), tape, and a firestore hard drive.
It was quite an entertaing sport to watch.

Randy and I unloaded the equipment into the school on friday so it was a quick and easy mobile that only lasted 7 hours.
