I knew about the crooked trees by Hafford, Saskatchewan a long time ago, growing up not too far away in Leask, I heard the stories but yet never did go there to see them. So I was pleased to edit this mini doc for SaskTel Max Local on Demand Channel 48.
Ken Dalgarno is a texture artist, who's latest exibition titled "The Crooked Trees of Alticane" showcases paintings of an unusual grove of trees at the tiny community of Alticane near Hafford, Sask. Due to a genetic mutation, the trunk and branches of the gnarled trees twist and turn in spirals. A phenomenon that is a hidden gem in the prairies.

I'm definatly going to check this place out this summer.

Incredible.
